Re-blogging

24 Feb

Being new to this blogging exercise, I could really use some help when it comes to the re-blogging of posts.  What is the proper way to do it?  I thought I could just pick the blogs I like and repost them on my blog.  I have a feeling, though, that that’s not how it works.  Help!!!

I use tumblr you can reblog anything – or some sites are set up so that you can submit posts or else have a joint site with other members where all of you contribute

If something is published on the web, you can always post a link to it, like on Twitter there are all sorts of “sharing” applications to do that. The only time I repost an entire blog entry is in cases like OWS posts a poster or someone else posts some sort of event. The only trouble I foresee in actually reposting an entire blog entry is that it could be altered and thus serve as a misrepresentation; in the case of tumblr – short of outright plagiarism – this is mitigated on evidence of the original post. And you could always ask 1st ;;)

Yes, I realized I should ask later. I don’t get my dashboard and how to use it to set up my blog the way I want to. Some things work. others just elude me. Still trying, though. Thanks so much for your detailed answer!!
